President Pamela Eibeck announces university-wide United Way campaign for 2018

Oct 3, 2017

To: the University of the Pacific community
From: President Pamela Eibeck

I am pleased to announce that University of the Pacific's annual United Way campaign will be part of our open enrollment process, which begins later this month and continues through Nov. 28.

For the first time, this year's United Way Campaign allows our University of the Pacific community to come together to make a difference in San Joaquin, Sacramento and San Francisco.

I have asked Stacy McAfee, associate vice president for External Relations, Strategic Partnerships, and Presidential Initiatives, to chair this effort.

Our campaign goal this year is $125,000. The goal for our participation is 500 individuals. These are ambitious goals, but the need in our cities and counties is great. If each of us joins this campaign and gives what we can, we will make a meaningful difference in this community.

This year, we're making it easier for you to contribute with new texting and online options. Watch for complete details in the Oct. 10 edition of the Pacific Insider electronic newsletter and in open enrollment packages.

Please join the United Way's effort to change lives in our communities. As you consider your pledge, it is important to remember that you may designate any charitable institution 501 (c) (3) beyond those traditionally served by United Way to receive your gift.
