Incoming student and family orientations begin June 27

Help welcome our newest students and their families!
Jun 26, 2018

On Wednesday, June 27, Pacific will welcome nearly 500 incoming freshmen and their families to the Stockton Campus during the first session of Tiger Tracks, a two-day orientation event. The first transfer-student orientation is on Saturday, June 30.

Starting early Wednesday morning, orientation leaders, faculty and staff will greet our new Pacificans and introduce them to life on campus, including classes, resources and the many exciting opportunities for involvement. The second series of Tiger Tracks sessions begins August 20.

There are several ways you can help:

  • Greet new students and their families! When you're walking on campus, be sure to say "hello," stop and chat or just flash a smile!
  • Wear Pacific attire! With your department's approval, we encourage you to wear your Pacific attire and nametag on orientation days in June and August.
  • Serve as a Campus Greeter! Help greet and direct new students and their families, who are arriving Wednesday, 6:30-9:00 a.m. Staff can participate with supervisor approval. Breakfast provided! See schedule and sign-up information.

Please be aware of the following impacts during orientation:

  • Parking and traffic: While we have instructed our new students and their families to park in "B" lots, they may not be aware of the different parking areas. If you encounter extra traffic or see a visitor's car parked in "A" during orientation, please be understanding and plan accordingly for possible delays when you enter or exit campus.
  • River Room closure: The River Room will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, June 27 and 28.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact New Student & Family Programs at 209.946.7619 or orientation@pacific.edu.
